Josh Henderson, the founder and chef of Skillet Street Food is ready for the next big thing and he is betting on it being the new tavern he plans to open in Woodinville next year.
Henderson told the Seattle Weekly that he will be a partner in a new tavern in Woodinville he plans to open next spring/early summer. He wouldn’t tell the Weekly where the tavern is located, other than it is next to a distillery, and "there will be whiskey, cornhole, and cheeseburgers and it will be an awesome place to hang out outside in the wine country during the summer and also winter, as we'll have an outdoor fire pit."
The gourmet food truck craze started a few of years ago, elevating the common catering truck known for feeding construction workers, to haute cuisine. The new food trend found its way to Woodinville to feed wine tourists and resident foodies the gourmet fare.
Seattle based Skillet Street Food bills itself as a modern American diner serving gourmet comfort food out of an Airstream trailer in locations throughout Seattle and the Eastside.
Skillet’s shiny silver Airstream trailer can generally be seen in Woodinville about once a month, Henderson told Patch last year (), with the schedule often changing at the last minute. You can find the location of the trailer throughout the week on Skillet’s website and Twitter and Facebook pages.
