Ooba Tooba has won our Readers' Choice poll for best burrito in Woodinville. received 43% of the 88 votes cast, the highest number of votes for any poll we've run on Woodinville Patch.
Owners Craig Johnson and his wife Lisa Tarleton set out to create a casual “cantina feel” for their restaurant which opened in Woodinville in 2001. Unlike some Mexican eateries that cater to the Friday-night margarita crowd, Ooba Tooba aims to be family-friendly.
The flavors, too, are unique and authentic. Johnson and his wife, Lisa, spent six months traveling throughout South America, learning about the regional cuisines, before opening the first Ooba Tooba in Redmond 15 years ago.
As Jennifer Birdlebough Bostrom wrote on our Facebook page, "Ooba's! Even my 3-year-old son knows this. No contest."
Coming Monday: Pick the tax preparer in Woodinville.
