In contrast to the jingle that we have all come to know, Sleep Country USA apparently does more than just offer unbeatable deals on mattresses.
During a two month period from mid-March to mid-May, Sleep Country USA held a shoe drive in which it collected over 7,000 pairs of shoes that will be donated to 18 different non-profit foster care organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
The shoe drive is one of six different donation drives that Sleep Country puts on over the course of the year with the same objective: To help foster children and their families keep up with the needs of growing kids, according to Tanya Mahr of Sleep Country USA.
In fact, as a part of its Foster Kids Program, Sleep Country USA is currently collecting new clothing items such as jeans, shorts, shirts and dresses in all sizes for infants to adults through July 22nd as a part of its clothing drive.
"Sleep Country USA created its Foster Kids Program in 2005 to focus its charitable efforts on one very important social cause with the goal of providing significant support to and impact on this often forgotten community," stated Mahr.
If you would like to donate clothing, new clothing items will be accepted at all 80 Sleep Country retail locations including the one in Woodinville.
