Stamp Prices Go Up Sunday

First-Class Mail and postcard stamps will both increase by a penny.

It seems like prices are going up on everything these days, and the U.S. Postal Service is following suit.

The price for First-Class Mail single-piece letter and postcard stamps will go up by one cent to 46-cents and 33-cents respectively, on Sunday.

New 46-cent "Forever" stamps will allow customers to mail letters to any location in the United States. But old 45-cent "Forever" stamps will continue to be honored.

Is the change so small that you won't miss the extra pennies?

Wish you and the media had given us more advanced notice so we could stock up.

It's not really much of a bite. You could have bought 500 stamps on Friday and saved ... $5. If you are really worried about it, why not buy 10,000 stamps right now? They're good forever!
