What's at The Woodinville Farmers Market This WeeK? Sept. 17

The library! Yep, KCLS will be there with its mobile van and Rustic Pie Co. will be baking fresh bread and cinnamon rolls as well as pizza. Fresh peppers will also be available.

The will be at the Saturday, Sept. 17 introducing its KCLS Library2Go program to the community.

“We have a connection beyond the community outreach aspect that many people may not realize,” said Michael Charlton, market president. “Don Julien, who was the first managing librarian at the Woodinville branch, was one of the organizers and original board members of our Farmers Market 18 years ago. Having the library to go van at the market gives our visitors an opportunity to check out any of the books aboard the bookmobile, or get questions answered by library staff.”

That’s not all the market has to offer this week, Charlton added. In addition to the wood-fired pizza, Rustic Pie Co. will be baking a limited number of loaves of bread this week as well as cinnamon rolls.

“They do this as the oven heats up [for the pizza] so the timing is limited,” Charlton cautioned.

Family Peppers and Produce may also be roasting peppers, he added. Even if not being roasted, fresh peppers will be available at the market.

The  is on 133rd Avenue NE, right beside City Hall. The farmers market is Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Fall.
