What's at The Woodinville Farmers Market This Week? Sept. 3

Pizza, pulled pork and purple carrots are just some of the tasty treats at the Saturday market.

This week from below ground level the market will have red and golden beets, red and Yukon potatoes, orange and purple carrots, radishes, and walla walla sweet onions, said Michael Charlton, president of the Woodinville Farmers Market. “From ground level look for beefsteak and cherry tomatoes, bell and gypsy peppers, bok choi, watermelon, cantaloupe, and corn. From the trees well have peaches, plums, apples, nectarines, and hopefully, pears.”

Rustic Pie will be back with wood-fired pizza and will again be serving up pulled pork sandwiches with its line of BBQ sauces.  A new addition for to the Kolander line this week is their 'ghost' sauce - very spicy for the gastronomically adventurous.

The  is on 133rd Avenue NE, right beside City Hall. The farmers market is Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Fall.
