All Pretty in Pink, Competition Robot “Mr. Pickles” Journeys to World Championship

Woodinville-based robotics club Swerve Robotics has packed up their competition robot, Mr. Pickles, and him bid a fond farewell as he and his escorts, the Burkett-Brady family, drive to St. Louis for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship. Mr. Pickle’s teammates will be flying to St. Louis early next week to reunite with the robot and prepare for the championships. You can follow Mr. Pickle's road trip at http://swerverobotics.wordpress.com/

This just in from Mr. Pickles:

“Hi, I am Mr. Pickles. I compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge or FTC with my teammates from 6220 Swerve Sigma. This year we competed at the Washington State Regionals and were recognized as Inspire Award Finalists (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc/inspire). This award is one of the ways teams make it to World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. Our sister team, 417 Swerve Alpha, will be traveling with us to St. Louis. How cool is that?

I left town on a road trip with the Burkett-Brady family. My teammates felt this was the safest way to get me to St. Louis. I have the most amazing box to travel in. THANK YOU MARCEL! It is cozy in here however I do miss my workshop. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I MISS YOU TEAM SWERVE!!!!"
