Woodinville - On Saturday morning, a dozen Civil Air Patrol cadets and adults took on the YMCA's Odyssey III Challenge Course at Cottage Lake Park.
From exercises on the ground to the roped facility rising 42 feet above the ground and stretching more than 300 feet in length, the state-of-the-art course, designed by Alpine Towers, offered a wide variety of challenging team-building activities aimed at fostering and enhancing group dynamics and group cohesion.
Starting on the ground, the teamwork exercises began on a mildly crisp yet clear and brisk autumn morning, with old and young alike stepping up and learning together. After a great lunch break, the entire group harnessed-in and attacked the high ropes course with the courage and teamwork that made it not only great for building new relationships, but a ton of fun as well! (The cadets even took turns doing the course blindfolded! -- see the photos!)
The cadets and adults are all members of the Civil Air Patrol's Northshore Composite Squadron. For more information (or to join) see the squadron's web site and visit us on Facebook. Cadet membership in CAP is open to all young men and women age 12-18.
