Get out the Boots Woodinville, Here Comes the 'Pineapple Express'

The National Weather Services has posted a flood watch for rivers flowing from the mountains, but down here it will just be wet, windy and sort of warm.

Get out the galoshes and prepare to watch the creeks rise! The National Weather Service says a warm and wet front will bring rain and wind to Woodinville Tuesday through Thursday.

A Flood Watch has been issued for rivers originating in the Olympics and Cascades. But down here, residents can expect that slow-moving Sammamish Slough to come up, significant rainfall, mild temperatures and moderate winds.

Localized flooding is possible but not a major concern. The National Weather Service forecast for Woodinville calls for rain and winds 11 to 20 mph, with lows 45 to 49 degrees and high from 55 to 57.

It is the classic “Pineapple Express” coming straight from the South Pacific, good-natured called ‘Poseidon” by UW weather guru Cliff Mass on his blog here.
