REMINDER: PSE Rock the Bulb Event in Redmond Aug. 6-7

Event will allow residents to hand in incandescent bulbs for free compact fluorescent ones.

Puget Sound Energy’s Rock the Bulb: The Re-Energize Tour comes to Redmond Aug. 6 and 7. During the event, takeing place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at , PSE residential electric customers can:

  • Exchange up to 10 incandescent bulbs for free ENERGY STAR®-qualified energy-efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs
  • Participate in activity stations to learn about ways to lower home energy use
  • Enter to win one of three efficient appliances from Whirlpool and receive other prizes from campaign sponsors
  • Enter PSE’s Green Power Solar Sweepstakes for a chance to win a free residential solar-power system worth $10,000
  • Witness the debut appearance of Fridgeasaurus

This will be the final bulb-exchange event in King County for this year's Rock the Bulb: The Re-Energize Tour.

At Redmond’s Rock the Bulb event, PSE’s new art project, Fridgeasaurus will make its debut appearance. PSE has hired an arts educator to take old refrigerator doors and work with kids at local day camps to turn the eight recycled refrigerators doors into a final art piece called Fridgeasaurus. The art piece will tour PSE’s service area this summer promoting the utility’s free refrigerator and freezer recycling program as well as appliance rebates and contests.
