Wind, Maybe Snow Expected This Weekend in Woodinville

In addition to windy conditions with gusts up to 45 mph, the snow level is expected to drop to 400 feet Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for midnight Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday, saying gusts of up to 45 mph are expected in the Puget Sound corridor.

A wind advisory is issued whenever winds of 30 to 39 mph are expected or gusts of 45 to 57 mph or greater. High winds could cause downed branches and localized power outages.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is expecting snow through Snoqualmie Pass through Saturday afternoon, and advises travelers that visibility could be very low. The NWS said snow levels could drop from 1,200 feet to 400 feet by Saturday evening.

In Woodinville, rain and snow showers are likely Saturday night, with little or no accumulation expected, the Weather Service said. On Sunday, the snow level is expected to drop to 300 feet, with snow accumulation of less than half an inch possible. The chance of snow extends through Sunday night.
