Woodinville Water District to Interview Commissioner Applicants at Special Meeting Tuesday

The Woodinville Water District will hold a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners Tuesday to interview applicants for an open Board of Commissioner position, according to a post on the water district website.

The Woodinville Water District will hold a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners Tuesday to interview applicants for the open Board of Commissioner position, according to a post on the water district website.

The position is open as the result of Commissioner Tim Matson's resignation and seven people have applied, including: Richard Chatterton, Robert Clark, Jim Dunlap, Pao-Tsun Hwang, Michael Lucarelli, Henry Stecker and Ronald Volz. Water District officials have told Patch they are planning to interview Chatterton, Dunlap, Hwang and Lucarelli.

The successful applicant will be appointed by the existing board to complete Matson’s term, which expires Dec. 31, 2013. To continue serving on the Board beyond Dec. 31, 2013, the person will be required to run for election during the general election in November 2013 for a six-year term beginning January 1, 2014.

In order to apply for the position a person must reside within the geographic boundaries of the district at least 30 days prior to appointment and must also be properly registered to vote within the geographic boundaries of the district.

The special meeting Tuesday, April 30, will take place at noon in the District’s Public Meeting Room, Building A, located at 17238 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road. The public is welcome to attend.
