TACOMA, Wash. (Jan. 7, 2012) – LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) today announced Hedges Family Estate, Washington’s largest family-owned winery, as the naming sponsor of its new “Collectors Hall of Fame.”  Hedges Family Estate, based near Benton City, has contributed more than a quarter-million dollars to ACM since becoming an official provider in 2008.

The Hedges Family Estate Collectors Hall of Fame, which will soon announce its inaugural class, pays tribute to preeminent car collectors who exemplify America’s love affair with the automobile.  ACM President and CEO David Madeira says inductees will be chosen based on the importance and quality of their autos by ACM’s curators and museum leadership. Honorees, inducted as “Master Collectors” during ACM’s annual Kirkland Concours d’Elegance, will be permanently recognized in the Hall’s gallery inside the museum. In addition, cars of the honorees will be featured as a special “Master Collector Class” at the Concours and then will be on exhibit in ACM.

“Fine wine and classic cars only get better with age,” says Madeira, “so it’s fitting that long-time supporter Hedges Family Estates winery headlines our Collectors Hall of Fame.  Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges understand the importance of memorializing collectors who are preserving automotive history and culture.  And they celebrate their achievement with Hedges’ very collectible “Red Mountain” wine – a long-lived Bordeaux style blend.”

Located atop Washington’s Red Mountain, the French-inspired Hedges Family Estate specializes in producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot using biodynamic farming – a self-sustaining, organic system that utilizes the interrelationships of an area’s soil, plants and animals rather than artificial chemicals, says Tom Hedges, owner and founder of the winery.

“We share many core values with America’s Car Museum,” says Hedges, whose winery recently made national headlines by refuting wine’s long-time 100-point scoring system.  “Both organizations understand the importance of conserving and highlighting tradition and history, while always looking for ways to evolve and progress.  This was our motivation to become involved with ACM four years ago and it’s the reason we’ve attached our brand to the museum’s Collectors Hall of Fame.”

Madeira says ACM will announce its initial Hall of Fame class in the coming weeks, and ultimately induct one to two deserving candidates per year.

Frontier has spent the past three years expanding broadband to hundreds of thousands of homes acrossRead More the US and increasing speeds in many of our markets. Mr. Gaulke’s experience and recount of his conversation with one of our reps comes as a surprise to us. We are checking our records to find out what the possible miscommunication could have been. We will be reaching out to Mr. Gaulke to see if we can alleviate any lingering concerns. Christy Reap Frontier Communications
