21 Acres Open House & Green Home Tour

The
21 Acres Center for Local Food and Sustainable Living recently received
its LEED Platinum Certification. In honor of this award, and of our
participation as a “sustainability host site” for the Eco-Building
Guild’s annual Green Home Tour on Saturday, April 26, we are taking the
opportunity on this special day to host a community open house.  We will
be showcasing the 21 Acres Farm, Market and Kitchen and have invited
numerous green-building and energy-related businesses to participate in a
vendor fair. An ‘official’ LEED plaque presentation with
representatives from the USGBC/Cascadia Green Building Council is also
planned for 11 a.m.

 

We hope you can join us. The 21 Acres Open House & Green Home Tour
is scheduled from 11 a.m – 5 p.m. We invite you to attend the
presentation, or stop by anytime throughout the day to walk the farm,
tour the building, meet our chefs, shop the Market and visit with our
sustainability partners.
