CORE Theatrics presents "ALL SHOOK UP"

ALL
SHOOK UP

CORE Theatrics heats up the stage with Elvis and Shakespeare!

Time to dust off your blue suede shoes! CORE Theatrics is working on its
latest summer musical, ALL SHOOK UP by Joe Di Pietro, featuring the songs of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley.
ALL
SHOOK UP tips its hat to the Bard’s comedies Twelfth Night and A
Midsummer Night’s Dream, with themes of unrequited love, humorous confusion, and an ultimately happy ending.

A sleepy 1950s town is forever changed when Chad (Ulyber Mangune)
comes to town with his free spirit, leather jacket, jeans and blue suede
shoes. He also brings rockin’ music, freedom, and, of course,
pelvis-shakin’. ALL SHOOK UP features 24 Presley classics, such as
“Jailhouse Rock” and “Heartbreak Hotel.”
Twelfth Night begins with,
"If music be the food of love, play on," and we guarantee that the
powerful lyrics of Elvis’ legendary songs will both rock you and invite
you to love again! For all its entertaining silliness, ALL SHOOK UP is a
serious celebration of being alive. Appropriate for all ages, this one
is sure to be an instant hit.

CORE Theatrics Artistic Director, Marianni Groves shares, “When
looking at a
well-rounded musical theater education, it is important for young adult
artists
to have the opportunity to tackle and explore a juke box musical.
Learning that unique structure and being able to visit the iconic lyrics
of a musical legend
is a great and challenging adventure. They not only get to bring new
life and
light to them, but they also get the chance to introduce new generations
to
these classics and leave them dancing out of the theater!”
Directed by Marianni Groves and choreographed by Sheri Lewis and musical-directed by Paul Linnes.
Will true love prevail? Will the power of music win in the end? Come see for yourself; tickets are available on-line and at the box office day of show.
