Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWIT), in
collaboration with the Washington State Department of Early Learning’s Early
Achievers program, is offering opportunities for childcare professionals to
earn certificates and/or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
The Early Achievers Opportunity Grant provides funding
(tuition, books, and student support services) to help students earn stackable
certificates, leading to an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. By
providing scholarship funds, the Early Achievers Opportunity Grant allows
childcare professionals to further their career development while expanding
knowledge and skillsets in early childhood education. Funding is provided by
the Washington State Department of Early Learning and the US Department of
Health and Human Services and Department of Education Race to the Top – Early
Learning Challenge (RTT) grant.
