Woodinville High School Winter Produciton of "The Dining Room"

Check out our new theatre and feast on our actors' virtuoso skill in changing roles, personalities, and ages as scenes spanning fifty years play out over the course of one theatrical day in this once so central room, revealing as they do many patterns of how America itself has transformed so dramatically. Dovetailing swiftly and smoothly, the varied scenes coalesce, ultimately, into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor and abundant humanity. It is a smorgasbord of 57 characters: rascally little boys, stern grandfathers, giggly teen girls, business professionals, Irish maids, cheating parents and birthday party kids. As one director put it, "It's no longer a common thing for families to eat around the table, and here we see some of the reasons why."

"...hilarious and touching...as comic sketch crazily succeeds comic sketch a whole pattern of American life emerges..." —The New York Post

"THE DINING ROOM serves a banquet of theatrical riches" —The New York Daily News
