Sen. Hill Visits Lake Washington School During American Education Week

As part of his recognition of American Education Week, Sen. Andy Hill (R-Redmond & 45th Leg Dist) visited Stella Schola Middle School in Redmond. "The hands-on stuff is fantastic," he said about helping students with their experiments… 

Stella Schola is one of twelve Lake Washington School District “Choice Schools”.  That makes it a sort of “hybred school”, combining public resources and oversight with opportunities for choice.  While providing many of the opportunities parents seek in charter schools, LWSD’s Choice School do the same thing, while remaining under the supervision and oversight of a locally elected school board and “at comparable levels to other school programs at the same grade level(s).”
