Neighborhood Food Drive
Did you know that Woodinville has a food bank that serves the Woodinville/Kirkland/Bothell area?
Did you participate in the United Way Hunger Action Week?
The United Way set aside this week to help us become aware of our King County neighbors who are hungry.
Can you survive on $7 a day for food? That is the maximum amount a person who receives food benefits lives on. How about giving it a try for a few days?

Perhaps you want to host a dinner party with your friends and family and talk about the hunger problem in our community and some solutions on how we can help.
My neighbors contributed to a food drive for the Woodinville Storehouse. We collected over 40 items of food and also financial donations. The event was a success because many neighbors hadn’t heard about our local food bank and now that they are aware, they are interested in volunteering.

The Woodinville Storehouse serves about 45 clients a week and has served over 200 clients since its beginning. The Storehouse prides itself in serving fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, and eggs in addition to non perishables. Some of the clients are homeless and also need hygiene products, clothes, and socks.
