Possible Scam? Share the Information With Your Neighbors
It's National Consumer Protection Week. Woodinville neighbors - if you know of a scam going around - please share.
Perhaps someone can enlighten me if this is a scam or not - The Federation of Police? They called my work in Redmond a few days ago and tonight called my home. They seem legit because the caller i.d. said, "FOP WA". They also have a webpage (both of which anyone can create in a few minutes). So as the telemarketer talked non-stop, a little voice in the back of my head kept screaming "scam". I quietly said, "oh, yeah, the Attorney General's Office". The phone went to dead silence (he hung up).
Being that this is National Consumer Protection Week, I felt that I should alert my neighbors of this possible scam. I searched the internet and it does appear to be a scam, but if you can prove me otherwise, please let me know.
