MamaCon Event Offers Workshops, Fun for Modern Moms

The MamCon conference, started by Seattle-area moms Amy Lang and Kim Estes, will be held May 18-19 at the Hilton Bellevue.

 

Need a fresh perspective on your family's every issues, such as whining kids, arguing over bedtime, dealing with school drama, lacking me-time (or us-time) and endless soccer practices and play dates?

, the conference for modern moms, will have tips, advice and lots of fun for local moms when it kicks off in Bellevue later this month.

This parent-only event will be Friday, May 18, to Saturday, May 19, at the . But while kids should stay home (perhaps with a baysitter), dads are welcome to come!

Tickets are $164 to access the dozens of workshops and speakers on Saturday. But Friday's vendor fair, which includes food, massages, pedicures, jewelry and other products and services, is free for anyone to browse and enjoy.

Seattle-area moms and parent educators Amy Lang and Kim Estes, known as here on Redmond Patch, organized the conference. (Patch is also one of the convention sponsors.)

More than 50 speakers will address subjects on parenting, including life strategies, discipline and moms setting aside time for themselves.

Speakers include Rosalind Wiseman, New York Times best selling author of Queen Bees and Wannabes.

The event also includes a "Seattle Mom Prom" and a comedy show, featuring 3 Blonde Moms.... See How They Run!
