Woodinville Summer Day for a High School Teenager

Check out ideas to make your summer fun! Visit a beach, eat out or go see free outdoor movie in Seattle.

The sun is out; the ice cream is melting and dripping all over a toddler as a mother fusses and pulls out all a napkin hidden in her purse. It is almost August! This summer has flown by. After a stressful classes and testing I was ready to hit the beach and swim till my heart was content.

My friends and I recently visited Juanita Beach in Kirkland to swim and soak up the sun, with sunscreen of course! The park was recently re-done and has a nice grassy area to set up a picnic or kick the soccer ball around. There is also a playground that little kids can play on. Across the street the tennis courts offer a fun activity for the whole family! After we went swimming we jumped in the car, rolled down the windows blasted music and made a run to the nearest Safeway for a pint of Cookies and Cream ice cream. We finished the night with watching the movie Tangled and some TV shows. After we had our fill of the television we did what teenage girls do best, talk, talk and more talk.

Take a leisurely bike rise south on the Sammamish River Trail to in Woodinville. Pizza dough was already flying in the air as my family and I walked into the new restaurant. There is wonderful outside seating with flower boxes and the room indoors is air conditioned with rod iron décor and wood beams. It was my Mom’s birthday and we had a fabulous time eating fresh vegetable pizza and a birthday cannoli. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a funky vibe, wasn’t very crowded and had friendly service.

From the Bothell Park and Ride bus 522 can take you all the way to downtown Seattle for the day. For any Harry Potter fans, I recommend looking into Seattle Center movies at the mural. Starting August 4th-26th all of the Harry Potter movies will be playing. All of the movies are free and the movies start around nine o’clock pm. Bring your blankets, friends and your wand because Harry will be on the huge out door screen.

As most of you already know, Friday July 27th, is the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. The Olympics started in 776 BC! It is amazing to me that the Olympics still continue today. Catch the historical city of London and watch the best athletes in the world compete. Channel 4, NBC will be broadcasting the Olympics. I hope everyone watches the games and support our fellow Americans. My favorite events to watch are swimming, soccer, hurdles and tennis. This year I want to follow badminton, water polo and synchronized swimming too.

Thanks for reading my first blog! I can’t wait to share local discoveries and information on local happenings with teenagers.

I have been extremely frustrated in the past in trying to effectively communicate with Frontier. MyRead More developing sense was one of very poor live support. I find it refreshing to see Frontier respond in a timely manner to this very public assertion. One can hope this is also occurring in your phone support, especially after hours...

I have spoken to Mr. Gaulke and assured him we are not cutting speeds in the Woodinville market (orRead More any of our markets). We are working with him to approach his technical issues from scratch and will do all we can to alleviate his concerns about his speeds. His business, and all the business from our customers in the Woodinville market is very valuable to us. We welcome inquiries from other customers if there is anything we can do to improve. Please reach out to me at 425.275.8579 and let us know how we can help. Frontier has spent the past three years expanding broadband to hundreds of thousands of homes acrossRead More the US and increasing speeds in many of our markets. Mr. Gaulke’s experience and recount of his conversation with one of our reps comes as a surprise to us. We are checking our records to find out what the possible miscommunication could have been. In the meantime, let us be clear: We are not decreasing speeds in Woodinvile, or any of our markets for that matter. We will be reaching out to Mr. Gaulke to see if we can alleviate any lingering concerns. Christy Reap Frontier Communications
