Inglemoor High School Student Places Third in State in Duck Stamp Contest

Inglemoor High School junior Jessica Cheung placed third in the state in the 2013 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest. Her watercolor of a northern pintail duck will be on exhibit at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge through the spring of 2014.

The contest received 150 entries from Washington. The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest, open to students in grades K–12, is the culmination of a year-long Junior Duck Stamp conservation program. After studying waterfowl anatomy and habitat, students use their new knowledge to draw, paint or sketch a picture of an eligible North American waterfowl species to enter in the art contest.
