Travis L Osborne Ph.D is a clinical psychologist who specializes in evidence-based treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders. He is a staff psychologist at the Anxiety and Stress Reduction Center (ASRC) of Seattle, part of the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS). and also Director of training and the Director of Quality Assurance at EBTCS. Dr. Osborne has a particular interest in the treatment of OCD. He is a member of the international Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF), a graduate of the IOCDF's Behavioral Training Institute, volunteers his time consulting with the OCD support Group of Seattle and is the co-founder and co-director of Camp DCO, an annual camp for teens and young adults with OCD.

This presentation will provide an overview of the main features and subtypes of OCD, as well as the effective treatments for OCD. Participants will learn how rituals/compulsion and avoidance behaviors that are part of OCD maintain the disorder over time and how exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy helps individuals to break out of the cycle.
