WHS graduation

I just read in the paper about the horrible rendition of our national anthem at the graduation ceremony. What happened?  Who is this teacher; I'm not sure I want my children in his class.

Thanks for posting Frances. Can you tell us a little more about what happened with the anthem?

Pamela Anderson says in her June 17th letter to the editor in the Woodinville Weekly, "We were appalled at the display of disdain for the National Anthem...this was no place for him to make his statement." So, I'm wondering who was this teacher that sang, and what was said that was so disrespectful?

Frances - trying to get information from other parents and staff is very difficult at WHS. My child attends there. There was no information about the two suicides this year and no suicide prevention talks. Everything was kept hush hush so you wonder what else is going on there. As far as the national anthem, I have no information. I do know the principal made a huge mistake in his Veteran's Day e-newsletter. He posted a picture which is an embarrassment to the cheerleader who accidentally held the flag upside down (I hope it was on accident). The picture can be found at this link - http://e2.ma/message/ozoze/sqsbpf scroll all the way down to the last picture. The principal could had used a different picture or cropped her out. It was not a good way to show respect to our country or members of our Armed Forces.

If you were concerned about embarrassing the cheerleader, why would you further publicize the photo here? Whatever your agenda really is, your feigned concern for her public image is an embarrassingly thin smokescreen and a tactless attack on the principal. I hope you aren't actually my neighbor.
