Starseeds: A Spiritual Neophyte’s Surprising Journey Into a New Paradigm

A spiritual neophyte's surprising journey into a new paradigm that he didn't know existed.

For the record, I am a fellow Woodinville citizen happily ensconced on a hillside overlooking our fertile valley with its meandering stream amidst a patchwork of small farms and other businesses. I am by trade a real estate appraiser, traditionally conservative in most of my thinking, baptized into the Lutheran church, and socially active in the community. So far that seems normal, yes?

However, though normal I may appear (and think of myself), I am hesitant to introduce myself further and introduce you to what I have come to learn and experience in recent months for fear of being branded a raving lunatic or having a cross burned into my lawn.

Let me start by telling you my story which is actually more of a journey that I continue to travel on.

This past December I was contacted by a friend whom I have always admired for his audacity in stepping into new adventures of spirit and mind. In the past this fellow, who has an amazingly varied background, often introduced me to new ideas or perspectives on a variety of subjects, some of which I found too bazaar to look at closer and others that, while perhaps provocative, were of great interest to me. The call I got from him this time around was no exception.

I was invited to join a team whose purpose is to find ways and means to financially support and encourage struggling individuals throughout the world who self-identify themselves as “Lightworkers” or “Lightholders”.  These terms, I came to find out, are loosely defined as those who’s work or presence in some way great or small contributes to peace and harmony of the people within any defined community from an extended family unit on out to a city or even a region. This premise resonated with me and, trusting my friend, I stepped into the ring.

I was introduced to the other team members and immediately felt a camaraderie that comes from shared values. I expected a learning curve in assimilating the how’s and what-for’s of a new position, but I had no idea how steep that curve would turn out to be and to what an extent my universal views would be stretched. This new atmosphere, to me, was indeed rarified air.

So, where am I leading you with this? For now, let me leave you with a bit of a teaser. I had no idea how small my world view, indeed my universal view, was until now. From strong skepticism through un-easy astonishment to a slowly emergent acceptance of undeniable truths, I have been traveling through an epistemological wormhole that has dramatically altered how I view almost everything.

In this blog I do not intend to persuade or convert anyone to anything. What I do want to do is introduce you to the possibility that all we think we know about the reality in front of our noses everyday is not what we think it is. And, that it is all about to shift for you.

This next Tuesday at 11 a.m. some of my fellow team members and I are scheduled to sit down with and have another back-and-forth conversation on planning and logistics with an entity you may have heard of; Archangel Michael. Yes, the real One.

I look forward to posting my next blog and I hope you return as a reader.
