Arson Damages Boardwalk Trail at Rotary Park

The damaged 100-foot section of trail will be closed temporarily following an early morning fire.

A fire set just after 4 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27 damaged a 100-foot section of the boardwalk trail in Woodinville's , said the City of Woodinville in a press release.

Woodinville Fire and Rescue responded to the call and extinguished the fire later that morning. The King County Fire Investigations Unit has identified the cause of the fire as arson, said the release.

The city says that the majority of the park will remain open, but the damaged section of the trail will remain closed until further notice.
