Police got a call from the man's adult daughter at about 5:30 p.m. Friday, after she checked on him at his home on the 15000 block of NE 192nd Street. The woman hadn't heard from her father in a couple days, West said, and family members found him dead when they went inside. His identity has not yet been released.

West said she thought the man was in his 60s or 70s.

She said detectives would be on the scene most of the night and that as of Friday evening, they had more questions than answers.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious around the neighborhood recently to call them. West said neighbors should not be afraid but should remain alert.

"I can understand people being concerned but we have no information that leads us to believe that anyone else is in danger," West said.*
