Kirkland Police are investigating the armed robbery of a 26-year-old woman early Wednesday morning by three men at the in Kirkland’s Totem Lake area.

The woman was not injured. A Kirkland Police Department press release said she was approached at about 1:45 a.m. by an adult black man wearing dark clothing, who asked if he could use her cell phone. When she went into her room, the man and two other black males wearing dark clothing and ski masks forced their way in.

The first suspect then pulled a pistol on the woman and forced her to lie down on the bed. The suspects ransacked the room and left with the victim’s laptop computer, wallet and cell phone.

Police surrounded the immediate area and called in a K9 unit, but did not find the suspects. Kirkland Police spokesman Lt. Mike Murray said no vehicle was spotted by any witness, but it is likely the suspects escaped in one.

“Usually when we have a K9 track like that, that’s the case,” he said.

Murray did not know the hometown of the victim. He said the robbery does not appear to be related to an invasion-style robbery .

Detectives remained on the scene Wednesday morning investigating.
