Counterfeit Bills in the Bushes, Home Burglary – Woodinville Crime Report

Here is a list of some of the reported crimes in the City of Woodinville from April 8 - April 15.

1.  Controlled Substance Violation - 14300 blk of NE 189th PL.

Officers responded to a car prowl in progress and found a suspect attempting to enter a vehicle.  A stolen car was found nearby.  The man was arrested and suspected methamphetamine was found in his pocket along with a key ring of several shaved keys and credit cards that didn’t belong to him.  He was booked into jail for his warrants with multiple felony charges pending.   

2. Vandalism - 17900 blk of 142nd Ave NE.

Officers on routine patrol observed graffiti on a fence near the park and ride. The “tag” was screened through the KCSO gang unit and found not to be gang related.

3. Controlled Substance Violation - 14000 blk of NE Woodinville Duvall Rd.

Officers responded to a possible fraud in progress where the suspect was last seen driving away in a vehicle.  Officers located the vehicle and contacted several subjects associated with the vehicle.  The investigation resulted in arrests of two suspect(s) on outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled substance. 

4. Residential Burglary- 16600 blk of NE 180th PL.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence through a second floor unsecured sliding glass door and stole three jewelry boxes.

5. Larceny- 13000 blk of NE 175th ST.

Victim advised he used the restroom at a local mini-mart and left his wallet behind.  The victim returned back to the mini-mart to find the wallet and contents missing.

6. Stolen License Plates - 17100 blk of 140th Ave NE.

The victim reported stolen license plates from the church van. 

7. Fraud - 18000 blk of Garden Way NE.

Officers responded to a forgery in progress where a suspect fled the area after attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill.  Officers located the suspect attempting to get away on the Metro bus.  Several counterfeit bills were recovered in the bushes nearby.  Other businesses were found to be victims of fraud as well.  The suspect was booked into King County Jail with fraud charges pending. 

8. Larceny- 17300 blk of 131st Ave NE.

Unknown suspects broke the front passenger window of the victim’s van and stole a diaper bag from inside.

9. Larceny- 19500 blk of 144th Ave NE.

The victim business reported damage to their copper water line in what appeared to be an attempted theft of the copper.
