Cyclist Crash, Counterfeit $20s – Woodinville Crime Report

Here is a list of some of the reported crimes in the City of Woodinville from July 25-Aug. 5, 2013.

1.       LARCENY -13300 blk of NE 175th ST.

The bartender reported a frequent customer was seen on surveillance video taking cash out of her purse at the bar.  Charges are pending positive identification of the suspect.

2.       LARCENY – 12500 blk of NE 163rd ST.

Unknown suspect(s) smashed the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle while parked in front of her residence and stole her laptop computer.

3.       COMMERCIAL BURGLARY - 14500 blk of NE N WOODINVILLE WAY.

An unknown suspect unsuccessfully attempted to break into a storage unit after cutting through an exterior fence.  The crime was captured on the security video. 

4.       LARCENY- 17600 blk of GARDEN WY.

The victim reported two male suspects left the store without paying for groceries.  Witnesses supplied officers with descriptions of the suspects and the license plate on the fleeing red Chrysler.

5.       LARCENY– 17700 blk of 140th AVE NE.

The business owner reported a young male entered his business and requested to look at his “Magic Cards”.  The male was unsupervised while looking at the cards and then ran out the front door with a stack of the expensive cards. 

6.       RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY-15000 blk of NE 192nd ST.

Officers responded to the report of a suspicious person standing by an open garage door.  When they arrived the man was gone, however they found forced entry to the garage. The house was ransacked with tools, clothing, jewelry, coins and a silver platter stolen.  

7.       FRAUD, ALL OTHER - 18000 blk of GARDEN WAY NE

An unknown suspect passed a counterfeit $20 bill at the Café inside the business.

8.       LARCENY, BIKE- 13600 blk of NE 175th ST.

The victim reported her red mountain bike had been stolen from the bike rack at the park.

9.       POSSIBLE HIT & RUN, INJURY -14000 blk of NE WOODINVILLE DUVALL RD.

Officers responded to a report of a possible vehicle vs. cyclist hit and run collision. Officers located the suspect and his vehicle at a nearby bar.  The suspect was arrested and processed for DUI.  The cyclist was taken to the hospital for her injuries however no contact was made between the vehicle and the bicyclist.  There was no contact between the truck and cyclist. The truck started to pull out and stopped, however the cyclist reacted with braking hard and flew over the handlebars injuring herself.

10.   DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED- DUI – Various Locations

Throughout the week officers arrested one subject for driving while license suspended/revoked and one subject for DUI after stopping the vehicles on traffic charges.  Both subjects were cited and released with charges pending.

11.   VANDALISM - 15100 blk of WOODINVILLE-REDMOND RD NE.

The victim’s vehicle was “keyed” while she attended a concert nearby.  

12.   LARCENY - 17900 164 AV NE.

Unknown suspect(s) smashed out the windows on two vehicles in the same neighborhood. Officers located a car charger belonging to one victim on the ground near the prowls.
