Downed Power Line Sends Sparks and Smoke on Roadside In Woodinville

The downed electrical wire caused a small fire on Woodinville-Duvall Road

A gust of wind snapped an electrical wire Wednesday, causing it to land along NE Woodinville-Duvall Road. Woodinville Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after 2 p.m. and closed a short stretch of the road at 182nd Ave NE.

Firefighters detoured traffic around the site, keeping people and cars away from the downed line.

“Storm caused the wire to snap and land on the road,” said Firefighter Brent Anderson. “We’re waiting for PSE to come and fix and keeping people safe and away for the wire.”
