Update: Fire Causes Significant Damage to Home Near Duvall Saturday

When Woodinville Fire and Rescue arrived at about 6 p.m. July 27, the home near Duvall was fully engulfed, according to David Weed, community services officer.

Fire significantly damaged a home Saturday at 19113 244th Ave. NE.

When Woodinville Fire and Rescue arrived at about 6 p.m. July 27, the home was fully engulfed, according to David Weed, community services officer.

Fire units from Duvall, Redmond, Monroe and Eastside Fire & Rescue also responded to the incident. Given the rural area and lack of fire hydrants, water tenders were requested from Duvall, Monroe, and Eastside to provide a water supply for firefighting operations. The nearest hydrant was 10 minutes away and water shuttle operations were put into place with the water tenders.

Fire crews were forced to fight the fire from the exterior as the fire had burned long enough to compromise the structural integrity of the home, Weed said.

No one was home when when the fire broke out and there were no injuries to firefighters during the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the King County Fire Marshal.
