Photo Essay: Firefighters Pancake Breakfast

Even though the crowd was smaller because of Saturday's inclement weather, the Woodinville firefighters fundraiser was still a success.

 

annual pancake breakfast which kicks off the day of events was not as large as last year, but still a success, according to Community Service Officer David Weed.

“We served just over 600 people, down from last year but I think the weather had something to do with that, and raised just over $2300 for the Explorer Scouts and Woodinville Firefighters Benevolent Fund.,” he said.

Firefighters and staff volunteered their time to serve 120 pounds of pancake batter, 140 pounds of sausage and 50 gallons of orange juice. “We lost count of how many gallons of coffee,” Weed said.

Despite Saturday's rain, lots kids and their got a chance to tour the fire engines at Station 31 and enjoy the morning with the Woodinville Firefighters and staff.
