Update: Fire Damages Woodinville Area Home

A home on the 13500 block of NE 205th Street in Woodinville suffered significant damage in a fire Monday afternoon.

Update 5:45 p.m. Monday: A home that had been in a family for generations suffered significant damage Monday afternoon in Woodinville.

The fire was reported to 911 at about 3:30 p.m. on the 13500 block of NE 205th St., which is on the border of King County and Snohomish County, according to David Weed with Woodinville Fire & Rescue.

Flames were shooting out of a first floor roof when both Woodinville and Snohomish firefighters responded. By 5 p.m., they had the fire under control.

No one was injured in the blaze. A Snohomish fire marshal will investigate the cause of the fire, Weed said. A crew was also there to secure the home, which had holes in the roof from fire and from firefighters breaking through it to fight fire in the eaves.

"The family won't be sleeping here tonight," Weed said.

I have lived in Woodinville for over18 years. For around 5 years after we moved there on any warmRead More summer night you could look up and see at least 3 balloons and many times 4,5,6 or 7 of them but that all stopped abruptly one year. The explanation we got was that the balloonist were following the French historical practice of awarding a bottle of champagne to any land owner who's land they happened to land on. Well, the state couldn't allow that since the balloonist had no liquor license. Don't you just love government?
