Update: Missing Redmond Man Died By Suicide

The body of Ira Clodfelter was recovered from Rattlesnake Mountain near North Bend on Saturday.

Update 5 p.m. Monday: Ira Clodfelter, the Redmond man found by search crews Saturday, died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.

The body of a missing Redmond man was located Saturday morning on Rattlesnake Mountain near North Bend.

Redmond Police Lt. Charlie Gorman said King County Search and Rescue personnel found the body of 28-year-old Ira Clodfelter at around 10 a.m. Saturday. His death appeared to be suicide, Gorman said.

Clodfelter , after failing to show up for work at Eddie Bauer. Search and rescue crews spent multiple days looking for Clodfelter before calling off the search on Thursday.

Gorman declined to release any additional details about the circumstances of Clodfelter's death and said he did not have any more specific information on where his body was found.
