Panhandler Yelling at People, Microsoft Scammers - Woodinville Crime Report

Here is a list of some of the reported crimes in the City of Woodinville from July 15-22, 2013.

1.  COMMERCIAL BURGLARY - 13900 blk of NE MILL PL.

Unknown suspect(s) broke out a glass window on the front door and stole cash from the register.

2.  TRESPASS – 13700 blk of GARDEN WY NE.

Officers responded to a call of an aggressive panhandler who had been plaguing the area by consistently yelling at people in the parking lot and cornering people near their cars making demands for money, gift cards, etc.  The panhandler was trespassed from the property.

3.  LARCENY - 19100 blk of 162nd AVE NE.

The victim reported her wedding ring stolen from her residence after hiring laborers from Craigslist for work around her home.

4.  ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY– 19500 blk of 144th AVE NE.

Unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal the air compressor at the rear of the business by cutting the cable lock. 

5.  IDENTITY THEFT – 17900 blk of 157th AVE NE.

The victim reported she received a bogus phone call from two subjects with accents, who told her that they were from Microsoft, and were attempting to fix errors on her computer. She supplied them her personal information and now she believes they have access to her computer and files.

6.   STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY - 19200 blk of 152nd AVE NE.

Officers recovered an unoccupied Toyota pickup that had been stolen from Everett. The owner responded to the scene and advised the vehicle tires had been changed.

7.   VANDALISM -13000 blk of NE 197th PL.

Officers located writings “SSB” and “SSB13” at three different locations in the city that are believed to be graffiti tagging.

8.  LARCENY-15300 blk of NE 185th ST.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle in the driveway and rummaged the compartments taking a trails pass, a jacket and eyeglasses.  Numerous additional items that had been taken out of the compartments were later located in the neighboring yards.

9.  COMMERCIAL BURGLARY- 12600 blk of NE 178th ST

A witness reported seeing an unknown suspect loading metal objects from the business into the back of a truck. He locked the perimeter gate and confronted the suspect who then tried to flee in the truck however he was locked inside. After driving in to a dumpster, the suspect fled on foot. The Woodinville Detective is investigating.

10.  LARCENY– 19600 blk of 144th AVE NE

The victim reported her cell phone stolen from her office and suspects an employee as she later tracked the phone via GPS to a known address. 

11.  LARCENY- 13000 blk of NE 177th PL

Unknown suspect(s) drilled the locks on the coin-operated machines stealing the coins from inside.

12.  DUI – 17600 blk of GARDEN WAY NE.

Officers responded to a 911 call of a female drinking from a Vodka bottle while sitting in her car in the parking lot. Officers found the woman behind the wheel with the keys in the ignition and observed signs of intoxication.  She was arrested for physical control and booked into jail.
