Police are looking for a male suspect they say robbed a Lovers store in the Overlake area at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
The man entered the store, located in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, went behind the counter, displayed a small handgun and demanded cash, according to Redmond police spokesman Jim Bove.
He made the employee at the counter go to the back of the store while he took cash from the register and then fled on foot in an unknown direction, Bove said. There were no injuries reported.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-30s with a medium build who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a reddish-orange jacket, baseball hat, sunglasses, blue jean and gloves.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
