Woman Finds Her Stolen Items on Craigslist, Steals Them Back – Woodinville Crime Report

Here is a list of some of the reported crimes in the City of Woodinville from Aug. 19-26, 2013.

1.      LARCENY- 18800 blk of 144th AVE NE.

The victim reported his unlocked truck entered and his boxing gloves stolen from inside.

2.      COMMERCIAL BURGLARY– 15600 blk of NE WOODINVILLE DUVALL RD.

Unknown suspect(s) shattered the door window of the business and then ransacked the cabinets.  The victim was unsure if anything was taken. Video surveillance will be viewed for suspect information.

3.      TRESPASS - 17600 blk of GARDEN WAY NE.

Officers trespassed a shoplifter from the victim business after she loaded up a backpack and duffel bag with food and walked out of the store without paying for the items.

4.      DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED & DUI -VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Officers arrested six (6) subjects during the week for driving with a suspended/revoked license and one (1) subject for driving under the influence.  All seven subjects were arrested with citations issued and released with charges pending. 

5.      HIT & RUN, INJURY - 13100 blk of NE 195th ST

Officers responded to a hit and run accident involving an intoxicated driver and a pedestrian.  Witnesses had taken the driver’s keys but she left the scene and ran to a nearby residence.  Officers located the driver inside her home and processed her for DUI.  Paramedics transported the pedestrian to the hospital for possible injuries to his foot.

6.      LARCENY – 15800 blk of WOODINVILLE-REDMOND RD NE.

The victim reported his vehicle had been broken into while parked at a body shop.  The suspect(s) removed his driver’s seat and the gear shift knob.

7.      LARCENY - 12800 blk of NE 178th ST.

Unknown suspect(s) successfully siphoned gasoline from one of the victim’s company vehicles but were unable to remove the locking gas cap of another vehicle.

8.      LARCENY- 18800 blk of 144th AVE NE.

The victim reported her sunglasses and headphones stolen from her vehicle then found them advertised on craigslist a couple of days later.  She arranged a meet with the “seller” of her stolen items, told him they had been stolen and took them from him. The 16 yr old male apologized and left.  Police were unable to locate him.

9.      RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY– 19800 blk of 156th AVE NE.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence using a garage door opener he had left for contractors and stole electronics. 

10.  VANDALISM- 13000 blk of NE 185th ST.

The victim reported her house “egged” by an unknown suspect wearing a red hooded sweatshirt driving a large black vehicle. This was the second time their house was egged in the past ten days.

11.  LARCENY - 13400 blk of NE 175th ST.

Four tires were stolen from outside the front of the victim business.  Witnesses reported seeing a suspicious person loading something into a tan van but did not report the activity at the time of occurrence. 

12.  FRAUD, ALL OTHER - 14100 blk of NE 183rd ST.

An unknown suspect used the victim’s name and social security number as a co-pay for an online payday loan without his knowledge or consent.

13.  PROPERTY, FOUND - 18100 blk of 140th AVE NE.

Officers recovered an abandoned white/pink Cannondale bicycle at the above location. 

14.  LARCENY – 18100 blk of 142nd AVE NE.

The victim reported two of his vehicles had been broken into and his tools, stereo’s, a car battery, clothing, a trunk latch and window seal were stolen.  Victim advised officers of possible known suspects.
