Woodinville Firefighter Honored at State Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Woodinville Fire & Rescue firefighter Matt Durham, who died last year, will be honored at a state ceremony Sunday. On Saturday, there will be a short ceremony at fire district headquarters in Woodinville.

, who died last year from melanoma cancer associated with his service as a firefighter, will be honored at the Washington State Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service held in Olympia on Sunday, April 22.

A memorial banner has been created for Durham and will be presented to a motorcycle motorcade on Saturday, April 21, at 1 p.m. during a ceremony at Fire Station 31 in Woodinville. The motorcade will then transport the banner to Olympia where it will be placed on a ceremonial pike pole during the event on Sunday.
