Woodinville Resident Injured in Outbuilding Fire

A Woodinville resident suffered minor burns while trying to put out a fire Wednesday night, according to Woodinville Fire officials.

A Woodinville resident suffered minor burns while trying to put out a fire Wednesday night, according to Woodinville Fire officials.

Firefighters from Woodinville, Bothell and Kirkland were called to the fire in an outbuilding after 9 p.m. on the 12600 block of NE 173rd Place. David Weed, community services officer for Woodinville Fire & Rescue, said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to a nearby garage and house.

The resident was was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor burns he sustained in an attempt to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived, Weed said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
