The city of Woodinville has hired David Kuhl as its new Development Services Director, they announced in a news release this week.
Kuhl most recently served as the Community Development Director for the City of Arlington, Washington. Prior to Arlington, Kuhl was the Planning Director of Pinal County, Arizona; and worked for other cities in Arizona and California.
According to the Arlington Times, Kuhl was the casualty of layoffs in August due to budget constraints at the city of Arlington. He had worked there since January 2008 according to information on his Linkedin profile.
Originally from Montana, Kuhl has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Montana and a Masters Degree from University of Phoenix. Kuhl began working with the city of Woodinville on Oct. 31.
Neither Hart nor city officials would give any details of the departure. Assistant to the City Manager Alexandra Sheeks would only confirm at the time that Hart’s leaving was a mutual decision.
Hart came to Woodinville in 2007, after serving in Whatcom County as development services director for seven years.
