Two Shoreline residents are among three finalists recommended to fill the open District 1 seat on the King County Council.
King County Executive Dow Constantine on Tuesday recommended Shoreline City Councilman Will Hall, 32nd District Rep. Cindy Ryu and Seattle attorney Rod Dembowski as the finalists to fill the seat vacated by as state attorney general.
“Each of these nominees has the experience, qualifications, and knowledge of the issues facing the county to serve the people of District 1 well,” Constantine said in a statement. “I again want to thank members of the Citizens Advisory Committee for reviewing the applications and narrowing the field for this significant appointment.”
The King County Council has 60 days to make the final appointment from the date the position becomes vacant on Jan. 16. The appointee will serve until certification of the next general election in November.
