Monday Is Deadline to Register for Next Month's Primary Election
Woodinville residents have a little longer to register, since there are no races on the primary ballot.
Next Monday, July 18, is the deadline to register to vote in the state's primary election. But Woodinville residents can wait a little longer, since there aren't any races on the primary ballot.
You can register online or by regular mail at the Washington State Secretary of State website. You can also see if you are already registered, in addition to updating your address or changing your name if required.
Races that have three or more candidates will face off in a primary on Aug. 16, with the top two vote-getters going on to the Nov. 8 general election. Races with only two candidates will not be on the primary ballot.

In Woodinville, there are numerous offices up for election, including seats on the City Council, Northshore School District, Woodinville Fire & Rescue and Woodinville Water District.
The deadline to register to vote in November's general election, if you have never registered or don't register for the primary, is Oct. 10.

If you are not registered in Washington, you can register in person at your County Elections Office until the Monday one week before both election days.
