Tree removal near I-405 continues next week

Crews will continue remove selected trees and shrubs on the west side of I-405 in the Kirkland area. The noisiest work will occur during the daytime, and crews will use best practices to minimize noise levels. The tree removal, expected to last two to three weeks, is necessary to build new lanes as part of the Bellevue to Lynnwood Express Toll Lanes Project. Crews will reuse or recycle trees removed within the project area, and will replant new trees and shrubs where possible. You can view detailed tree removal maps on the Washington State Department of Transportation's web page.
