Rick Chatterton Chosen as Newest Member of Woodinville Water District Board

Rick Chatterton was chosen as the newest Woodinville Water District Board member, filling the opening left by resigning Commissioner Tim Matson.

After two special meetings of the Woodinville Water District Board of Commissioners, a new board member has been selected, district officials told Patch Thursday.

Rick Chatterton was chosen as the newest board member, filling the opening left by Commissioner Tim Matson who resigned. Chatterton was chosen after he interviewed with the board on May 7.

Three others who applied for the position, Robert Clark, Henry Stecker and Ronald Volz, were not granted interviews.

Chatterton will complete Matson’s term, which expires Dec. 31, 2013. To continue serving on the Board beyond Dec. 31, 2013, he must run for election during the general election in November 2013 for a six-year term beginning January 1, 2014.

Requirements for a position on the board include residing within the geographic boundaries of the district at least 30 days prior to appointment and being registered to vote within the geographic boundaries of the district.
