Saving on the Cost of Your Prescription Drugs

The City of Woodinville launched a discount card program that helps non-insured residents save on their prescription medication.

For some, the high cost of prescription medication can be downright scary.

Now, because of a new program, sponsored by the National League of Cities (NLC), non-insured City of Woodinville residents can have some relief when picking up their prescription medication.

Through the program, residents can receive a free prescription discount card. The average discount is 23 percent off the retail price.

All residents are eligible to receive a discount card, regardless of their age, income level or existing health coverage. Residents with insurance can also use the discount card on medication that isn’t covered by their provider.

However, the discount card can’t be used as a form of insurance or in combination with other insurance.
