So What's on the City Council Agenda This Week?

This week the council will be deciding on the cost of repaving streets in the Laurel Hills and Reinwood neighborhoods. The council meets Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. atΒ .

The city’s budget includes $1,400,000 to repave streets throughout the Woodinville over the 2011-2012 budget cycle. For 2011, city staff recommends that the streets in the Reinwood Neighborhood and in the Laurel Hills Neighborhood be repaved. These streets have pavement condition ratings of 3-83 (out of 100, 100 being the best rating), with the majority of the roads having a rating at or below 55. Β 

In particular, staff is recommending that NE 203 rd Place and 140th Avenue NE be repaved. These streets have pavement condition ratings of 4 and 60 respectively, according to the staff report.

The cost to repave the Reinwood and Laurel Hills Neighborhoods is estimated to be $951,000.

Bidding of the project is scheduled to begin this month, with award of the contract scheduled for City Council consideration in July 2011. Construction of the project will begin in August 2011 with final completion in September 2011.
