UPDATE: At 8:45 a.m. we reacehed Waste Management and confirmed Woodinville will not get service on Wednesday.
Waste Management sent out a press release late Tuesday night listing cities it that will recieve trash pick-up today, Woodinville was not among them. Waste Management has not responded to calls from Woodinville Patch as to why this community is not getting service, or if it was just an oversight that Woodinville was not on the list.
Redmond residents who normally have their garbage collected by Waste Management on Wednesdays can expect trash pick-up today, the company announced in a news release Tuesday evening.
All regularly scheduled commercial business garbage routes will also be serviced on Wednesday, according to the news release. No recycling or yard waste will be collected.
Waste Management held a news conference on Tuesday where company officials said they plan to begin hiring permanent recycle truck drivers to replace those on strike. As The Seattle Times reported, Waste Management is facing a $1.25-million-a-day fine from the City of Seattle if pick-up does not take place today.
