Traffic Alert: SR 522 to Close Thursday for Rock Blasting East of Woodinville
State Route 522 will close for an hour Thursday morning between the Fales/Echo Lake roads and 164th Street Southeast.
State Route 522 east of Woodinville will be closed in both directions Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. so crews can blast away rock for new roadway drainage systems, says the Washington Department of Transportation.
The work is part of the ongoing project to widen SR 522.
The highway will close Thursday in both directions between Fales/Echo Lake roads and 164th Street Southeast.
Drivers are urged to choose alternate routes. They can also follow a signed detour using State Route 9 and US 2. The detour will add 10 miles and about 20 minutes of travel time, depending on the destination and traffic.
